Wedding Services

Nowadays, more and more couples decide to get married abroad, with foreign weddings in Thailand becoming increasingly popular because of the destinations exotic beauty and unique culture. A popular choice is a blessing ceremony at a local Buddhist Temple, where both the bride and the groom adorn traditional Thai wedding costume and experience all the traditional Buddhist wedding rituals. Another option is to marry on a pristine beach, with the sounds of the ocean and beautiful panoramic views of the coastline. More peculiar wedding arrangements include wedding on elephant back, underwater weddings and hot air balloon weddings, which just goes to prove that the sky is the limit! If you would like to get married in Thailand, Window of Thailand will organize everything for you so that all you have to do is look forward to the most important day of your life, while relaxing in a beautiful tropical paradise. Wedding services include arrangement of domestic flights, accommodation, ceremonies, photography, wedding attire, flower arrangements, reception venues, cuisine, entertainment, documentation and transportation. For more details, please Contact Us.

Outbound Destinations

Maybe after Thailand you would like to explore other South-East Asian countries. Although in our Sample Itineraries we only mention Myanmar (Burma) and Laos, we can also organize tour programs which incorporate Vietnam, Cambodia, Contact Us

Cookery

We have been lucky enough to organize many authentic Thai cooking courses for our clients to enjoy. The courses we choose in the various locations around Thailand tend to focus on teaching the "Spirit" of Thai cooking so that students can cook authentic tasting Thai food whether or not they have a recipe to follow. Rather than learning to blindly follow recipes, you learn to cook with all your senses. All of the major ingredients in Thai cooking are introduced along with the concept of balancing the 5-flavor groups to get exactly the taste you desire. The flavors are bitter, spicy, sweet, sour and salty. The most important thing is that all of the dishes which you will cook on the course can be replicated in your own country with ingredients you will be able to find at your local supermarket. Therefore, you can astound your friends with delectable Thai cuisine in your own home. Courses vary in length from a half day to a 3 day course. If you would like to include a Thai cooking course in your program, please state on the Requirements Questionnaire form in the Contact Us section of the web site.

Meditation

There are many meditation temples and canters in Thailand, some of which hold meditation classes and retreats in English for foreigners. The best studies of meditation can be found in Chiang Mai. It is mainly vipassana ('insight') meditation which is taught in Thailand . This means observing every sensation, feeling and experience very closely. It is a system of meditation which is specific to Buddhism, particularly Theravada Buddhism, which is the school of Buddhism followed in Thailand . The other meditation system taught in Thailand is samatha which calms and focuses the mind.

Visitors to a meditation centre should dress appropriately, i.e. neat; clean clothing with legs and shoulders covered. White or non-brightly-coloured clothing is preferred. Men and women are welcome but are separated. Visitors must adhere to the rules of the temple or meditation centre which generally include rising early in the morning, fasting until midday and abstaining from alcohol, smoking and sex. Remember when sitting or kneeling not to point your feet at anyone as this is considered impolite. Images of Buddha are sacred so you should also take care not to sit with your feet pointing at an image of a Buddha. Women can not have direct physical contact with a monk so be careful to not touch a monk by accident.

There are sessions for beginners and experienced mediators. It is possible to do one day courses rather than committing to one of the longer retreats over a few days or weeks. So if you would like to cleanse your soul and clear your mind, just mention your interest when you Contact Us.

Cycling

We have designed tours, which can be cycled at a more leisurely pace so everyone can join in the fun.
Bicycles can reach places that can not be reached by other modes of transport, giving you the opportunity to explore some of the less traveled by Thailand hotspots. Our cycling trips will allow you to see amazing views, visit rural Thai villages and explore the rolling countryside. If you agree that cycling is an excellent way to discover Thailand and would like to include a tour in your program, just let us know when you Contact Us.
Our bicycle tours range from a half-day tour to a two-week holiday. It is our original and individual approach to cycling in Chiang Mai, which our guests appreciate. All our tours are original and unique and designed to suit your individual requirements

Lady frames are available in the smaller sizes for those more comfortable with that style of bike.

Trekking & Soft Adventure Tours

Although trekking is an extremely popular activity, we try to make our trekking programs more unique by journeying to locations such as Umphang, (See Sample Program I for details) which is a relatively unspoiled and undeveloped route. National Parks offer excellent grounds for fantastic treks, with a wide range of flora and fauna to see. Have a look at Sample Program E to find out about trekking in Khao Yai National Park. Other popular trekking destinations include Chiang Mai in Doi Inthanon National Park area. Soft adventure programs are safe, educational and fun. Our trekking philosophy is to avoid cultural or environmental impact in order that we have a positive effect on eco-tourism wherever we go. Treks can be tailored to all fitness levels as your guide will match your pace to suit the day’s activities. When you Contact Us, please give us an idea of your fitness level and how many days you would like to spend trekking.

These activities can be added in the package itinerary
